I-93: Bow/Concord Planning Group

Concord 20/20 began out of a concern with proposed improvements to Interstate 93 between exits 12 and 15.  The section of roadway travels through the city proper and effectively divides the city in two making access to the Merrimack River nearly impossible from the downtown.

NH Department of Transportation Commissioner Carol Murray commissioned a group of citizen stakeholders from the region to work with DOT planners and consultants to review alternatives and components of improvements to the roadway.  This process is ongoing.  Please see the website at www.i93bowconcord.com

The City of Concord has developed its own plan for the roadway and the land surrounding it in the Opportunity Corridor Master Plan. (insert link).  The NHDOT is taking this plan into consideration as it works with the planning group to design the highway to best serve the community and its visitors.
